Manchester Residents enjoy knitting and a natterResidents at HC-One’s Sunnyside care home in Tameside, Greater Manchester spent an afternoon taking part in a knitting class.

The aim of the class was to see which Residents could have a natter while they knit.

The Residents loved getting involved in a hobby that they have always done and were up to the challenge of chatting with each other while focusing on their knitting needles.

Norma, a Resident at Sunnyside, commented: “It’s very relaxing and easy to do.”

But Colleagues at the home were awestruck at the Residents’ ability to wield wool while keeping up the conversation.

Sunnyside Home Manager, Kay Harrison, was in disbelief. She said: “I was amazed how good they all were!”
