One of the Residents at Residential care home, Worsley Lodge enjoys helping out so much, that she was thrilled to become a Colleague for the day.
Moragh was enjoying helping out with the laundry, with Colleague Zoe so everyone came together for a meeting and asked if she would like to become an ‘employee’ and Moragh replied that she would, “Love to!”
The team gave her a uniform, badge and she joined the home’s 11am briefing, where Home Manager, Anne Bannon, presented her with a certificate of employment. And she was delighted!
Moragh has a rota with her shifts on it, that Colleagues have made for her so she knows what job she is on and times of the day. The team said they have never seen her so happy and focussed as she has been since becoming an employee.
Anne commented, “This was such a lovely idea and it was nice to see Moragh enjoying the things she loves to do. She is so happy and focussed, feeling she has a purpose and job role to complete every day.”
