Morpeth care home Residents enjoy a spruce up in the salonResidents at HC-One’s Foxton Court care home in Morpeth have been desperate to visit the hairdressers for a pamper, so the homes wellbeing coordinator stepped in to give the Residents a lovely spruce up.

Foxton Court Residents have been desperate to visit the hairdresser for a pamper, but due to the current coronavirus pandemic, the homes usual hairdresser has been unable to come in which has made the Residents feel a bit less glamorous than normal.

After watching endless tutorials, Foxton Court Wellbeing Coordinator Stacey stepped into the role as interim hairdresser and has spent many hours pampering the ladies and gentlemen in the home, some have even enjoyed a tipple while visiting the salon.

Foxton Court Resident Catherine was so delighted that she cried joyful tears: ““I feel like my normal self again,” she said.

Stacey has now started a beard trimming service for the gentlemen in Foxton Court in addition to them having their hair trimmed.

Foxton Court Resident Bernard said: “I am so pleased with the results and I am really pleased to look like myself again.”

Moving forward Foxton Court have lots of appointments for their Residents and Stacey is delighted she can do something so seemingly small to support the homes Resident’s wellbeing and help them feel good about themselves.

Foxton Court Home Manager Joanna Bulford said: “It’s fab to see our Residents happy and to see a bit of normality back in our home.”
