On New Years Eve, Residents at Roxburgh House care home, in the West Midlands, posed for photos to bring in 2021. And one of the first things they have been doing, is making animals with the wellbeing team.
Colleagues made a cardboard cut out frame which was decorated with champagne bottles, bubbles, 2021 numbers and fireworks. They then used black and gold card to give it that traditional festive new year look.
Residents liked the champagne bubbles and Joan said, “I always liked New Years Eve when I was younger.”
Following on and to kick start the New Year, Syneeta Biggs and fellow Colleagues organised to do some fun activities for January; one of the first being animal making. Using pipe cleaners and lollipop sticks, Residents made some mini animals including a horse, cat and crocodile. To which Gail, who lives at Roxburgh House, remarked, “I hope that crocodile doesn’t bite me!”
Home Manager, Linda Wilkes, commented, “We are starting 2021 full of positivity and we have plenty planned to keep busy over the coming months.”
