Newcastle care home Residents create wonderful autumn artResidents at HC-One’s Kirkwood Court in Newcastle upon Tyne created some wonderful autumnal themed art, to go up around the home during the cosy months before Christmas.

Throughout September and October Residents have participated in a variety of autumnal activities, set up by wellbeing coordinators Sarah Strawbridge and Lauren Proctor. From tree painting, making wreaths to hand print arts and even decorating the home for harvest, the home has done it all and even has a resident scarecrow called Russel Scarecrow.

“It has been so nice to get involved and try new things,” said Kirkwood Court Resident Em Parry.

It has been lovely seeing so many Residents involved throughout all the floors and such a wide variety of activities taking place which everyone has took part in.

Kirkwood Court Home Manager said: “Sarah Strawbridge and Lauren Proctor have done a great job with the Residents throughout all the floors and created some fabulous crafts.”
