At HC-One’s
Brookdale View residential and nursing care home, in Manchester, there have been celebrations all round as one Resident marked turning 100 in style.
Caroline Winstanley (nee Heywood), was born on 27th July 1921 in Newton Heath, Manchester. Throughout her working years, she worked as a machinist in Miles Platting. She has been married twice and has a daughter Joan, son Alan, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren!
To celebrate the special the special day, a party was held with all staff on shift as well as Caroline’s family. Being a fan of dancing and music, Caroline enjoyed her party and cake (pictured).
When asked about what her secret it to a long life, Caroline remarked, “A loving and supportive family, and good health!”
