North Shields care home Residents enjoy coastal cruisingResidents at HC-One’s Redesdale Court care home in North Shields were delighted when they were able to start enjoying drives out in the minibus again after over a year of COVID-19 restrictions.

It was an exciting moment at Redesdale Court as it was announced that minibus trips were allowed to commence again, the team quickly organised some short trips out to the wonderful seaside towns in the local area.

Residents have enjoyed drives to Blyth for fish and chips by the sea, Whitley Bay for beautiful views of St Marys Lighthouse and the Spanish City and admired the beaches at Cullercoats and Tynemouth.

The trips have been thoroughly enjoyed by all Residents who have taken part, some commented on how visiting the local seaside towns has brought back happy memories of days at the beach with their families.

Redesdale Court Home Manager, Daniel Ridley said: “I am delighted that our Residents are able to get out in the minibus after such a long period of restrictions meaning everyone was confined to our home, the smiles on their faces really do say it all.”

Located on Rake Lane, Redesdale Court care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen in North Shields that require residential care and residential memory care for those living with dementia.
