North Shields care home Residents wind down at Spa clubResidents at HC-One’s Redesdale Court care home in North Shields recently had a wind down pamper session during the homes Spa club afternoon on 9th September.

At Redesdale Court, the needs of Residents is fully understood by the homes wellbeing coordinator, Stacey Taylor, who knows wellbeing of a Resident is absolute paramount.

Stacey helped set up Spa club for Residents, which consists of Residents, male and female, enjoy hand massages, followed by a manicure and some even had polish applied which made them feel very glamorous. During this, the air is filled with lavender, to helped Residents wind down and enjoy the soothing music as they are looked after by Colleagues.

Some Residents also received a head massage which can also help to relieve stress and reduce tension. The Spa club was such a success, it lifted the spirits of Residents and served as therapy for them and gives them the opportunity to enjoy some nice food and drink whilst they relax.

One Redesdale Court said: “Oh, I haven’t had strawberries in a long time. They were wonderful.”

Redesdale Court Home Manager, Daniel Ridley said: “It was lovely seeing the Residents relaxed and enjoying themselves, especially in these difficult times.”
