Nottingham care home Resident enjoys first day out with daughter for over a yearA delighted Resident at HC-One’s Springwater Lodge care home in Nottingham finally enjoyed a trip outside with her daughter for the first time in over a year.

Springwater Resident Ruth Clyde was visited by her daughter, Janet Clyde on 12th May and both really enjoyed the visit. Ruth was very happy with the visit, but when she found out her daughter Janet had arrived to take her on her first outing since over a year ago, she was over the moon.

Janet and Ruth went down to the local cafĂ© no.18 for a pot of tea and a scone, one of Ruth’s favourites, why they really enjoyed. They then moved under the shelter when it started raining and then back out into the sunshine when it stopped.

Ruth was a little nervous at first, with it being her first outing for such a long time, but after a while and the sun started shining, she ended up having such a wonderful time.

Springwater Lodge care Home Manager said: “It is so nice to be able to support Ruth to go out with her nominated visitor now the restrictions are lifting, the smile on their faces lights up the whole place.”

Situated in the pretty village of Calverton, just outside Nottingham, Springwater Lodge is a small, purpose-built home with 50 beds, offering residential and nursing care, as well as residential memory care for those living with dementia.
