Nottingham care home sets up pen pal groupHC One’s Springwater Lodge decided to set up a pen pal group with the local children to keep Residents in contact with them throughout this difficult time.

Local school children often used to visit the home and bring in cards and pictures to the Residents, however as they are unable to visit, Colleagues at the home decided to make a pen pal group so they can stay in touch.

This idea is a great way to keep the Residents spirits high, they really enjoy receiving the colourful pictures from the children in the post. They have also been writing back to them too.

One of the Residents commented “What a lovely idea and how sweet”.

It’s so important to keep in contact with those closest to us in the community at this time. The Nottingham home also discussed this set up on the local radio too.

One of the Colleagues said “It’s great to see such a positive response”.
