Online church service and bingo activities from Himley MillThe Willows Community at HC-One’s Himley Mill care home, in Dudley, has been very busy over the last five days with a range of activities arranged such as a church service and bingo for Residents.

On Sunday, an online church service was held which helped to meet Residents’ religious and spiritual needs. They sang hymns, prayed and enjoyed watching the service and indulging in a cup of tea and slice of cake.

One Resident commented on the service, “It was just beautiful!”

Home Manager, Kelly Smith, remarked, “It was heart-warming to see everyone enjoying such a lovely service.”

Today, Residents enjoyed a game of bingo in the lounge. Betty, who lives at Himley Mill, helped shout out the numbers to fellow Residents playing.

Everybody got rather competitive while trying to win the prize for a ‘full house’ and enjoyed the funny phrases when number calling.

A comment was made by one of the Residents, “I’m glad I joined in, it was lots of fun!”

Kelly added, “It was nice to see everybody join in and laugh at the number quotes and I loved seeing Joan’s face light up when she shouted bingo and claimed her prize.” (See picture of winner Joan Jeavons, left).
