Pancake flipping fun at Cheshire care homeThere has been plenty of laughter today as Residents made and flipped their own pancakes for Shrove Tuesday at HC-One’s Appleton Manor care home in Bredbury, Stockport.

Residents helped Colleagues to make their lunch today by tossing their own pancakes up in the air.

There were plenty of exclamations of “flipping heck!” and just one or two flipping disasters before the Residents’ pancakes were ready to serve up with their favourite topping, from chocolate spread and squirty cream to the traditional lemon and sugar.

One Resident commented: “What a right laugh we had!”

Everyone enjoyed themselves as they laughed and reminisced about family memories of making pancakes.

The eventful afternoon was a brilliant way to introduce two news Residents to the humour and good nature of Appleton Manor. Husband and wife, Bill and Veronica, had plenty of fun getting to know some of the Residents and Colleagues as they laughed and joked alongside each other.

Appleton Manor Wellbeing Coordinator, Sarah, said: “I love seeing our Residents happy and smiling and having fun!”
