Penrith care home celebrates HalloweenResidents at HC-One’s Cold Springs Park in Penrith, Cumbria enjoyed a spooktacular Halloween weekend this year with plenty of activities for all to engage with.

Colleagues started the celebrations off with an afternoon tea followed by a Halloween themed quiz, with Residents answering questions on classic horror films, music and Halloween folklore.

All Residents took part in some form, whether it be in the lounge with everyone, socially distanced or in their rooms where they were treated to Residents popping in for a trick or treat, some iced cupcakes, crafts sessions and some vampire blood drinks.

The home was decorated outside with lots of lights and spooky skeletons and spiders’ cobwebs. The Home Manager, Jacqueline Johnstone, even got involved and dressed up as a cat, which everyone enjoyed.

“We have all had a great and fun day which is most needed at these difficult times,” said Jacqueline.
