Residents at Jack Dormand care home in Peterlee enjoyed a trip out to Hartlepool for lunch and a movie.
Donna Price, the home’s Activities Coordinator, took the Residents to their first stop, Brewer’s Fayre, where they enjoyed lunch together.
After admiring the views at the marina, everyone then went on to watch Stan and Ollie at the VUE Cinema. Residents enjoyed a sweet treat of either popcorn or chocolate, which they tucked into amid bursts of laughter during the film.
Derek, a Resident at Jack Dormand, commented: “What a difference there is in the cinemas since I was younger! I have had a fantastic day and loved the film, it was great.”
Donna said: “Everyone had an amazing day. It was great to see the Residents all enjoy a modern cinema experience together while they laughed along to the film.”
