Residents from HC-One’s Priory Gardens care home in Pontefract visited Copley’s Farm Shop & Café where one of the Residents and her daughter, used to work.
Both Leah Ledgeway and her daughter, Jenny, worked at Farmer Copley’s in the fields when they were younger, so they have fond memories of the place.
Leah, Brenda Powell and Betty Chaston said they loved making memories, shopping and visiting the café. ‘It was lovely to meet new friends’, said one of the Residents.
The Residents all enjoyed coffee and cake and bought fresh produce in the farm shop and gifts for family members.
‘It’s great to see Residents engaging with the local community’, said Home Manager, Sarah Hudson.
