Pumpkin arts and crafts at Whittlesey care homeAs Colleagues and Residents at The Gables care home decorated pumpkins today, they chatted about Halloween and the mischief they used to get up to as children!

Everyone discussed playing games such as ‘knock down ginger’ and recalled telling spooky ghost stories, and dipping fingers in jelly and cold spaghetti whilst blindfolded.

Jane, Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “We had so much fun during our design a pumpkin activity. The residents came up with some great ideas including a sensory feely box.”

Residents including Muriel, Chris, Tommy and Kathy really enjoyed sharing stories.

Home Manager, Helen Walters, remarked, “I love hearing about lots of happy memories for the Residents and recalling fun as children.”
