Puppy love at Hull care homeResidents lit up today when they received a visit from some playful puppies at HC-One’s Kesteven Grange care home in Kingswood, East Yorkshire.

Home Manager, Kellie Moore, brought in the newest additions to her family – three beautiful bullpei puppies, a cross between bull dogs and sharpeis.

Residents were overjoyed to see the tiny puppies and loved playing with them and fussing over them.

Ida Tute, a Resident at the home, commented: “They are so lovely! We just can’t get over how cute they are. Having a cuddle has really made my day, I can’t wait to see them again.”

The puppies acted as pet therapists for the day as all Residents engaged with them and gave them plenty of strokes, including Residents living with dementia.

Everyone was intrigued over the unusual puppies and fawned over their silly disposition and cute wrinkles. They were a very welcome surprise to cheer everyone up during national lockdown.

Kesteven Grange Home Manager, Kellie Moore, said: “This is something we’ve done before and we know how beneficial it is.

“We love seeing the Residents’ faces light up. It makes everyone feel so good.”
