Resident celebrates “21st Birthday” at Dudley care homeToday Colleagues stopped the clock as usual and celebrated Resident Jill’s 21st birthday, “for the umpteenth time,” according to one of the staff members, “as it is rude to ask a lady her age,” so everyone took Jill’s word for it!

All the other Residents sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Jill and as she didn’t want a big cake, Colleagues decorated some chocolate chip muffins for her along with a beautifully decorated plate with frosting and strawberries (plus a few other little treats). Her face was a picture when Colleagues surprised her.

All Residents agreed that the muffins looked delicious. Vera Clarke, fellow Resident, commented, “How marvellous.” Another Resident, Les Blackwell, added, “What a nice surprise!”

Mal, the home’s Chef, said, “It looks delightful.”

Home Manager, Julie Jones, commented on what a lovely change it was, “Sometimes it is the little things that matter the most.”
