Betty, a Resident at HC One’s Magna care home celebrated her 91st birthday today.
Colleagues at the Wigston care home started the morning putting up birthday banners and some nice birthday music for Betty.
Everyone sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her and her face was a picture, she was smiling and thanked everyone for their kind words.
Later on in the day Betty's had a video call on so she could speak to her son Alan, daughter in law Rachael and Bill her close friend. Betty’s family brought flowers and presents to the home for her, Betty was absolutely delighted.
Colleague Georgie then took Betty back into the Ground Floor Lounge where she came in with a lovely birthday cake with candles lit up and everyone sang happy birthday to Betty.
With all of the flowers that Betty had received throughout the day it looked like a florist shop!
Betty commented “I have thoroughly enjoyed my birthday with my friends and family around me. I will treasure always.”
