Resident gardener at Tameside care homeAt Mossley’s residential and residential memory care home, Sandon House, one Resident has been tending to the flowers in the garden, and they are thriving!

Resident, Winnie Gregson, has always been interested in gardening and growing her own flowers. Colleagues at Sandon House thought it would be lovely for Winnie to continue her interest.

So, Winnie’s daughter brought in some flowers for Winnie to look after and admire from her bedroom window.

Winnie goes out into the garden every morning and waters all the flowers. She also likes to name each flower as she goes along.

Winnie loves having her own little job to do. She commented, “I enjoy looking after the flowers every day. It's my little job."
