Resident shares memories of love for music at Ghyll Grove care homeLawrence, a Resident at HC-One’s Ghyll Grove care home enjoyed a chat with Colleagues about his love of music since being a small boy.

He began playing the saxophone as a hobby at a youth club local to him in Walthamstow, before moving on to play at St Saviour church and then in London’s working mens clubs as he grew older.

As well as playing the saxophone, Lawrence began bell ringing at his local church and soon went on to become a member of the Basildon bell tower St Martin’s band of church bell ringers.

Lawrence enjoyed discussing his past with Colleagues as he remarked at the love eh still had of music, and the pride he took in playing in the band of bell ringers.

Grace Tshabangu, home manager, commented: “Lawrence enjoys discussing his past with Residents in the home, his love of music still carries on as he enjoys listening to saxophone music daily.”
