Residents at Manchester care home make chocolate Easter eggsResidents on the Nightingale unit at Rose Court care home, in Radcliffe, have been making homemade chocolate Easter egg with moulds for the spring season and wrapped these into gifts.

This event was a great reminiscence point with Residents and Colleagues talking about their Easter time celebrations through their lives and what has been passed over generations.

One Resident joked, “Why is it there is only Easter and Christmas, you can get away with eating Chocolate for breakfast?”

Everyone enjoyed trying the leftover melted chocolate in their own bowels. One commented, “Having the leftovers in the bowel after baking, was always a highlight for me as a child and for my children, when I use to bake with them.”

Home Manager, Karen Davies, said, “This was a great activity to take part in the festivities of Easter and the end product looked delicious!”
