Residents at HC One’s Stoneyford care home got their aprons at the ready for a day of baking fun.
Residents at the Sutton-In-Ashfield care home took over the kitchens and baked the afternoon away making some delicious cookies and biscuits for all to enjoy.
One Resident said “It’s nice to get involved and have a chit chat with others.”
During the session Colleagues found out some of the Residents had won baking competitions before. It was a great chance for the staff to find out recipes for cakes they had never heard of, and even found out one of the Residents baked for the Queen!
It is amazing what you find out when having fun, all of the Residents got involved and enjoyed the session, and are now looking forward to the next one.
The home’s wellbeing coordinator commented “it’s so refreshing to hear these wonderful things that the Residents have achieved over the years.”
