Residents create post box for Christmas card competition at Falkirk care homeResidents on the Antonine Unit at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor in Falkirk recently helped create a small postbox so that Residents could submit their entries to the homes annual Christmas card competition.

First, Colleagues and Residents had a vote on what they should decorate with the box with. As they busied themselves with the task at hand, they chatted about their favourite Christmas memories, songs and films and discussed what the perfect Christmas dinner consists of.

"Christmas is my favourite time of year it brings people together," said Resident Betty Watson.

Residents were pleased with the finished postbox and said that they were looking forward to seeing lots of lovely festive drawings. Colleagues believe that arranging these kinds of competitions help to keep Residents connected to the community they live in.

"These competitions are a great idea it gives us all something to look forward to,"  said Resident Helen Neilson.
