Residents at HC-One’s Yew Tress care home in Dukinfield enjoyed getting in the festive spirit and making their very own old-fashioned pomanders.
A pomander is a ball made for perfumes such as ambergris, musk or civet, Residents at Yew Trees came together to create their own pomanders, while enjoying a delicious hot chocolate and sharing stories of their favourite Christmas traditions and pastimes.
Everyone was pleased with the final results, with one Resident commenting: “I love pomanders, they smell like Christmas cake and bring back happy memories of making them at church.”
