Residents enjoy a Halloween tea party at Glenrothes care homeResidents at HC-One’s Woodside Court care home in Glenrothes recently enjoyed a lovely Halloween themed tea party, with decorated cakes on offer and spooky costumes to wear.

Throughout October, Residents have been busy making Halloween themed hand pictures, decorating cakes and on 29th October, they finally got to put up their art and taste their cakes as they enjoyed a Halloween themed tea party.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the cakes and the time with other Residents, albeit socially distanced, to enjoy a much needed ‘blether’ with each other.

Woodside Resident, Sheila Guthrie said: “The cake was lovely, very colourful and tasty.”

Colleagues also put on a ‘spooky quiz’ that was supplied by a local newspaper. The Residents loved competing with each other and reminiscing about old Halloween traditions such as ‘apple dooking’.

Woodside Court Home Manager, Nicola Procter said: “It’s great to see Residents joining in themed afternoon teas, the cake was lovely and the day was enjoyed by all.”
