Residents at HC One’s The Sycamores care home have been enjoying spending time in the homes movie room, and having a football experience too.
A small group of Residents enjoyed a theatre experience in the newly decorated movie room at the Hyde care home.
Residents and Colleagues enjoyed watching ‘Hello, Dolly!” a 1965 classic starring Barbara Streisand.
There was plenty of snack and drinks served, just like at any good movie experience, such as popcorn, chocolate bars and hot and cold drinks. The residents enjoyed coming to the movie room and walking down the red carpet before being seated.
The residents enjoyed singing along to the different songs throughout the film, they also liked the décor in the room and walking down the red carpet. One resident was very happy to see Sir Tom Jones in the room!
One Residents said “The dancing in that film was absolutely incredible and Barbara frocks are stunning!!”
They have also used this same room for a football experience too, showcasing Manchester City vs Liverpool from 2011 on the big screen.
The room was decorated for this event with a football theme including flags and party hats. The men also enjoyed a pint of lager or two whilst watching the match.
One Resident commented “It was a real thriller that match, I can’t wait to come again.”
