Roald Dahl Day at Willow BrookToday at Willow Brook in Nottingham, which offers residential and residential dementia care, Residents enjoyed celebrating Roald Dahl Day.

To celebrate, Residents were given the chance to create their own characters and giving each of them a little back story. Each Resident was given templates of a character to colour in, then they gave their character a name and create the story for them to go into.

The Residents also enjoyed an afternoon of Roald Dahl book reading, followed by watching the classic “Charlie and the chocolate factory” on the television. The event was attended by all Residents at the home, and they all enjoyed creating their own characters. They all had a good laugh at all of the stories that everybody came up with and the characters that were created.

Marie, the Home Manager said “It was a fantastic day, the Residents seemed to really have a good time when they were coming up with characters and their stories”.
