Terry Kelly, a Resident at HC-One’s Falstone Manor care home in Roker, Sunderland is one of the first members of the new pen pal scheme operated in HC-One care homes throughout the United Kingdom.
HC-One, the kind care company, launched a Pen Pal Club with the aim of connecting Residents living in care homes different parts of the country with similar interests.
Terry has enjoyed writing to new pen pal, he has even sent a photograph of himself to his new friend so that they can put a face to his name. The pen pals are already sharing their life stories and talking about common interests.
Falstone Manor Home Manager, Alison Hunter said: “The HC-One Pen Pal Club is a great idea, it’s lovely to see Terry reaching out and making new friends.”
