Rowley Park Residents research wartime BritainSome of the Residents at Maple Lodge care home, in Staffordshire, are very interested in history, with a particular focus on World War Two, so Colleagues thought it would be great to share what these particular individuals have been up to recently.

Jean Drake, Marjorie Arkley and Alan Wheeler, live at Maple Lodge and enjoy looking at the wartime memorabilia box at the home. This includes items such as ration books, ID cards, letters written to soldiers and pictures of the different uniforms.  The group enjoy discussing their thoughts with one another and find it very interesting, particularly when comparing the different uniforms.

Home Manager, Sarah Dodd, remarked, “I love to see them reminiscing about times of their era and remembering things from their younger days.”
