Salford centenarian turns 102At HC-One’s Pendleton Court care home, in Manchester, which offers residential, nursing and residential memory care, for those living with dementia, one Resident turned 102 this week and the celebrations were simply lovely!

Irene was showered with cards for her birthday after wellbeing Colleagues reached out to fellow care homes to send cards. There were also some other cards which were sent from children at the local Angel Centre.

To top off a great day, Pendleton Court also had their first entertainer back at the home to coincide with the special day and Irene, as well as all her friends at Pendleton, enjoyed singing and dancing to the music from the Beatles and Elvis.

Another highlight for Irene was the birthday cake, wine and shandies, which all went down a treat!

Irene joked that she was still looking for a toy boy, but he has to be good looking!

Sandra Nixon, Care Home Manager, commented, “There was a lovely atmosphere and everyone had a great time!”
