Scunthorpe care home receive wonderful Christmas gifts from local communityHC-One’s Bridgwater Park care home in Scunthorpe received some lovely donations from the local community on the run up the Christmas this year.

Everyone in the local community recognised how much the home has been through this year, so they decided to treat them to some lovely gifts. Barbara Harrisons, who’s mother sadly passed away earlier in the year whilst she was staying at Bridgewater, donated a lovely food hamper.

Resident Doreen Akester’s family donated lots of sweets and the home received a giant gingerbread man with a Christmas hat on for outdoor decoration. A selection of biscuits was also donated from a neighbour of the home.

“Can`t wait for the sweets and biscuits to be opened.  Is it snack time yet,” said one Resident.

Bridgewater Park Home Manager Julie Moult said: “We are so lucky to have such lovely people who donate so many nice things.”
