Seeds of hope planted at Durham care homeHC-One’s St Margaret’s care home in Durham was pleased to receive a donation of sunflower seeds from Relative, Diane Kirkby and the local Morrisons supermarket.

Residents at St Margaret’s were delighted with the donation of sunflower seeds, they quickly got to work planting the seeds so that they can watch the sunflowers grow. Everyone has enjoyed tending to the sunflowers and chatting about which ones they think will grow the tallest.

One Resident commented: “I love sunflowers, I always had them in my garden because they are so beautiful.” 

St Margaret’s Home Manager, Katherine Swainston said: “Thank you to Morrisons and Diane for their generous and thoughtful donation.”
