Sew much fun at Irvine care homeResidents at HC-One’s Fullarton care home in Irvine enjoyed sewing together a knitted blanket.

A selection of knitted stripes were donated to Fullarton from a local community hub, the care home’s sewing group came together to sew the pieces together in to one cosy blanket.

The ladies enjoyed chatting as they worked on the blanket of some of their favourite items to knit, which included coats, fair isle patterns and baby shawls. Everyone is pleased with the finished result, now the discussions are underway as to where the blanket would be best suited.

Fullarton Home Manager, Nicola Ferguson said: “The blanket is beautiful, well done to our wonderful sewing group for putting it together.”
