Residents at HC-One’s Cold Springs Park in Sheffield have enjoyed testing their knowledge in a Scottish-themed quiz on Burns Night this year.
They tested themselves as they listened to traditional Scottish music in the background and snacked on shortbread and oatcakes. They also took part in Scottish crafts and read poetry written by Robert Burns himself.
A Scottish Resident at the home commented: “It was like being back at home!”
For dinner, they were treated to the traditional haggis, neeps and tatties after a reading of Address to a Haggis. Everybody enjoyed their Scottish-themed day and after their first celebration of the year, Residents are looking forward to more themed days in 2021.
