Colleagues at Swallownest care home helped Resident Vera bring back memories of her favourite place, Blackpool, by updating the décor of her bedroom today.
Vera, a Resident at the Sheffield care home is always talking about Blackpool, and although she is unable to visit it, the care home wanted to bring it to her!
Many of the staff had donated items to Vera that would add to the décor of her room such as lights and even a ‘kiss me quick’ hat! They have also been playing a CD of music that would play from the famous Wurlitzer organ at Blackpool Tower.
Vera has had many a happy holiday in Blackpool and enjoyed sharing her fabulous memories with the Colleagues. Her face was a picture upon seeing the room, it was such a pleasure for the staff to see.
Vera commented “I love it! Love it!”
