Sheffield care home welcome back family and friends for safe visitsResidents at HC-One’s Holmwood care home in Sheffield have been reunited with their loved ones as the home reopens to safe visits in the garden after lockdown and visiting restrictions ease.

Holmwood care home was happy to announce on 10th August that the home was reopening to Relatives for safe visits in the garden. It has been difficult for Residents and Relatives not seeing each other in person and only over zoom call, so this news came as a blessing.

The limitations and protections the government has put in place ahs been immensely trying but very necessary. Relatives of Residents have understood and continued to support the home and Colleagues couldn’t wait to welcome them back.

The reaction that Relatives and Residents have had to seeing each other has been fantastic and lovely to witness for Holmwood Colleague. They have been looking forward to organising more visits for Residents and Relatives.

Vicki Leck, Holmwood Home Manager said: “It’s such a relief to see everyone so happy after such an extended time of our Residents being restricted face to face contact with their loved ones.”
