Sheffield care home welcoming back RelativesIt has been wonderful to welcome back Residents’ families back into Ascot Lodge care home, after recent guidance changed. The home is now seeing an increase of visitors back, as Relatives can now have that one to one contact.

Relatives are enjoying being able to hold their loved ones’ hands again, giving them the social contact that they have been longing for.

Colleagues called on a few Relatives who had window visits booked, and advised them they could now have an indoor visit.  This came as a big surprise to many of the Relatives and very much welcomed.

One relative said, “It was a lovely surprise as I wasn’t expecting (Relatives) to be able to come inside, this has really made my day!”

Kerry Green, Home Manager, commented, “It’s been lovely to see the smiles on everyone’s face, it’s really uplifting.”

“We look forward to more easing of the lockdown to be able to have more Relatives seeing their loved ones.”
