Stalybridge care home encourage wildlife into the gardenColleagues and Residents at HC One’s Stamford Court have been creating fat balls to encourage some new friends into the garden.

Due to the current climate, unfortunately no guests have been allowed to visit the Stalybridge care home, so Colleagues decided it would be a great idea to encourage the only visitors that are allowed – the birds and squirrels!

The staff got the materials to make their very own fat balls for the bird feeders, lots of Residents joined in helping to make these. The Residents really enjoyed getting a little messy helping to mould the balls.

The next time Residents go outside to enjoy a sunny day, they are looking forward to watching out to see the birds and squirrels come into the garden, enjoying feeding on the fat balls.

Residents can’t wait to see if their favourite type of birds such as blue tits and robins come to visit.
