A Resident at HC-One’s Falstone Court care home in Sunderland has celebrated with her daughters 60th birthday over video call as current restrictions do not allow home visits.
Jenny, a Resident at Falstone Court, wasn’t able to receive a visit off her daughter for her birthday this year as current coronavirus restrictions don’t allow home visits. So, the team at Falstone Court decided to set up a video call with her, so they can still celebrate it together.
Jenny had her hair done by the homes hairdresser so she looked her best and also designed and made her own 60th birthday card to show her daughter. Jenny and her daughter chatted away with a cup of tea and some cake in hand.
“It was so lovely to see my daughter and to show her my card,” said Falstone Court Resident Jenny.
With help from the team at Falstone Court, Jenny and her daughter were able to celebrate together, albeit over video call. Colleagues across the UK have continued to come up with intuitive ways to keep Residents and loved ones in touch throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
