HC-One’s Ashton Grange care home Colleague, Ann Reed, decided to brave the shave on Friday 13th September, to raise money for the Residents’ comfort fund in the home.
Residents, friends and family gathered in the lounge as both home manager Lesley Dawson, and deputy manager, Karen Airson, began cutting Ann’s hair.
To make the event feel even more special to Ann, her mother, Marie, who is a Resident in the home, was present and watched in awe as Ann had her head shaved to raise money for the Residents.
A total of £400 was raised during the event, with Ann feeling pleased as everyone cheered her on for her efforts.
Lesley Dawson, Home Manager, commented: “We are so proud of the extra mile Ann has gone to today, to raise money for the Residents’ comfort fund.”
