Surprise sweet trolley and Easter Bonnet making from Westwood LodgeThis week has been full of all sorts of fantastic activities for Residents at Westwood Lodge care home, based in Wigan.

Today, Residents have also been getting into the swing of Easter festivities and enjoyed creating their own Easter bonnets with various arts and crafts stickers; including Easter chicks, nests and much more!

Residents enjoyed having their photos taken wearing their bonnets and have had the pictures printed for their bedroom. See pictured Residents Betty Wall, Martha Dawber and Linda Carney.

Betty remarked, “I can’t wait to show my bonnet to my daughter.”

Also this week, the themed ‘travel back in time’ trolley was stocked up with famous foods and drinks that originated from the 2000s, including mini cupcakes, crème Brulee and smoothies. Colleagues also added a choice of alcoholic beverages to the trolley, including various beers and wine. This was then taken to Residents who could enjoy a tasty treat.

Ken Brown, who lives at Westwood Lodge, remarked, “The mini cupcakes were lovely.”

Chloe Webb, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “The Residents enjoy seeing the various trolleys each month and the surprise that the trolley brings.”
