The oldest Resident at HC-One’s Kettlewell House care home, Nora Gladys Bicknell turned 104 today.
Nora celebrated her birthday by speaking to her niece on a video call, and she just loves to see her!
Colleagues and fellow Residents all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Nora, behind their masks, whilst her niece was on the call joining in too, and watching her aunty blow out the candles.
Nora’s room was decorated with lots of balloons and bunting; she loved them on the walls and appreciated the colours, she said they brightened up the room.
Nora had lots of cards to open and a birthday present from her niece, she got a lovely cardigan. She said, surprised, “For me? It’s lovely!”
Home Manager, Kate Patterson, commented, “Nora enjoyed the afternoon, but all the excitement made her very tired and she wanted us all to go so she could sleep!”
