Sussex care home enjoy reopening of hair salonToday at Oakhill House in Sussex, which offers nursing, residential dementia and nursing dementia care, Residents enjoyed the reopening of the hair salon.

The hair salon had been under refurbishment and completed work earlier this month. Residents were keen to visit the salon and meet the newly appointed hairdresser, Mel.

Residents were able to relax in a clean, up to date and fresh surrounding whilst getting their hair done. Which was a blessing to many Residents, who had not been able to get their hair cut since the beginning of lockdown. The salon had lovely background music playing with one Resident saying, “this music is so relaxing, I might get my haircut more often!” There are also magazines available to read whilst waiting for Mel to be available.

One Resident also commented on her new hair saying, “It feels so lovely, Mel has done a great job”.

Shaun, the Home Manager said “Its great to have this back open, the Residents will really appreciate being able to get back into the salon”.
