Swallownest Colleague achieves 20 years of serviceGill White, who is a Senior Care Assistant at HC-One’s Swallownest residential and nursing care home, in Sheffield, celebrated her 20th year of service this month. 

As a ‘thank you’ from everyone at the home, Gill was presented with flowers and she donned her 20 years’ service badge with pride. 

Gill received a personal ‘thank you’ from HC-One’s CEO James Tugendhat congratulating her on this achievement, along with £100 to treat herself. She commented, “Thank you to everyone for my lovely flowers. I love my job and the people I work with!”

People living at Swallownest love that the team have looked after them for such a long time, this means they get to know them extremely well and become firm friends.

Roger, who is a Resident said, “Gill always does her best to make sure we are well looked after, she’s lovely and always has a smile every day!”

Families told Colleagues, that it’s lovely that the staff have been at Swallownest for such a long time, it shows that they are happy in their role. One Relative commented, “It’s good for my mum because she has the same face. In other homes, there seems to always be a high staff turnover.”

Amanda Fields, Care Home Manager, remarked, “I am incredibly proud that Gill, along with many of our staff have worked here, in some cases, for the entirety of their careers and they all continue to grow, develop and learn each and every day.”
