Tameside care home creates knitting clubResidents at HC One’s The Beeches care home are now part of their very own knitting club.

Colleagues at the Tameside home decided to start up a club for the Residents who enjoy knitting. The home has received lots of donations of wool and needles so thought it would be a great hobby to introduce.

There was a good number of Residents who wanted to be a part of the club, and remembered exactly what to do once they had the equipment in their hands!

Hopefully over the next few weeks more Residents will want to join in too, even if they haven’t knitted before, it will be a great skill to learn!

One of the Residents, Mavis, commented “I haven’t knitted for a very long time, I enjoyed doing it and I can just pick it back up anytime I want to do some”.

Catherine, another Resident, said “I really enjoyed knitting today, it brought back memories and I really enjoyed doing it”.

Wellbeing coordinator Sade said “It was nice to start up the knitting club, everyone taking part enjoyed themselves”.
