Tameside care home enjoys arts and craftsResidents at HC One’s The Beeches care home have spent the morning getting creative.

This morning at the Tameside care home, Residents enjoyed the new arts and crafts available, which were stain glass painting a lovely picture of birds.

Each lady enjoyed painting and said it was so easy to do, and the end results were beautiful, especially when held up to the window and all the colours shone in the sun light.

Jean especially enjoyed doing this activity, as she used to take art classes and was a keen painter. She said it was nice to do something so simple but achieve something so lovely, she commented “it took me back to my painting days”.

Another Resident, Phyllis, said “I found this activity quite relaxing and it was enjoyable to do especially once all the colours came together.”

Wellbeing coordinator Sade said “today’s activity was lovely to do, they all enjoyed it especially when they all shone in the windows.”
