Residents at HC One’s April Park care home have been enjoyed a number of tasty treats this month.
As Residents at the Eckington care home are currently prevented from accessing the community, the wellbeing team decided to bring the ice cream parlour to them.
Different ice cream flavours were on offer, plus topping and sauces were so the Residents could create their own personalised perfect treat!
Another day the Residents were treated to fish, chips and mushy peas for lunch from the local chip shop.
One of the Residents said “what a treat, shame they aren’t wrapping in newspaper”, whilst another commented “it’s just like I remember, plenty of salt and vinegar.”
It was lovely to see the smiles on the Residents faces on both occasions.
