Teddy bear day took place for all communities at Essex care home, Admirals Reach today.
All Residents, including Vera Orr and Dorothy Butler, enjoyed holding their bears and it brought back lots of childhood memories. Colleagues also discussed the history of teddy bears with the Residents and how they came about in the world. One Resident said how he thought the facts were, “Very interesting”.
Another Resident commented, “I enjoyed giving my teddy a cuddle and reminiscing”.
Home Manager, Lal Mangalam, discussed the day, “It only takes something small such as a teddy bear that can bring back so many happy memories for Residents. I think Residents got a lot out of our teddy bear day”.
