Teepees and pool paddling at Cardiff care homeOver the last couple of days, it has been busy for both Residents and Colleagues at St Mellons based residential and nursing care home, Quarry Hall, with everyone fully embracing summer!

Today, Colleagues made their very own tepees for Residents to sit in and have some delicious lunch in a nice and relaxing atmosphere.

Fish and chips were served with a cold glass of Lager, for whoever would like one. Everyone, including Rosalind, Frank, John, Joyce and Lyn, enjoyed sitting outside in the teepees and relaxing together.

Frank said he liked everything and the food was delicious.

Deputy Manager, Theresa, commented “I really do like this, it’s like a den. Absolutely lovely!”

Yesterday, Colleagues obtained some mini paddling pools for Residents to sit and dip their toes in while enjoying the beautiful weather.

Some lovely fresh fruit and chilled drinks were served to give everyone that ‘summer feeling’ and there was even a mini water-fight which had everyone in giggles!

Vera, Fran, Bill, Barbara, Diana and frank all had a lovely summery afternoon, Barbara remarked, “I could do this every day!”

Sian Mckeevers, Receptionist, commented, “Overall a brilliant day!”
